Terms of service
Last updated: October 9, 2026
These terms apply to all DotArt courses. They govern your use of balancesheet.art, regardedtrading.art, basispoints.art, and cookedbooks.art, our home page dotartcourse.shop, any course site we add later, and the games on them (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Questions: privacy@dotartcourse.shop.
The Service
The Service is a set of educational games, one course per site: accounting and investing on balancesheet.art, listed options on regardedtrading.art, bonds and interest rates on basispoints.art, and buyouts and due diligence on cookedbooks.art. Some chapters are free. The rest are sold per course, or together as all-access, which covers every course, including courses added later.
Educational use only
Everything in the Service is general education. It is not financial, investment, accounting, tax or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy or sell any security. The companies in the story are fictional; real-world examples are given for illustration and may be simplified or out of date. Make your own decisions, and consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
Accounts
You can play without an account. To sync progress or buy a course, you sign in through Google, X or Meta. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to the sign-in method you use. Please give us accurate information and use only accounts that belong to you.
Purchases
- Each course, and all-access, is a one-time purchase that gives your account access to the chapters it covers (for all-access: every course, including courses added later) for as long as the Service is offered. It is not a subscription and there are no recurring charges.
- Prices are shown before you pay and include any taxes stated at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- If something is wrong with your purchase, email privacy@dotartcourse.shop. We handle refund requests fairly and as required by applicable consumer law. A refunded purchase removes access to the chapters it covered.
- Your purchase is for your personal, non-commercial use and may not be transferred or resold.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, redistribute or publish paid content, or share access to it;
- get around access controls or payment, or use someone else’s account without permission;
- scrape, overload, attack or disrupt the Service;
- use the Service for anything unlawful.
Content
The Service and its content (text, puzzles, characters, artwork and code) belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for learning, subject to these terms.
Changes and suspension
We may update, change or discontinue parts of the Service. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see deleting your data).
Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep the content accurate and the Service running, but we do not guarantee that it is error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the Service, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will post the new version here and update the date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new terms.
